My friend Annie from Zevy Joy started her blog about the same time that I started this site. Over the past few years, we have worked together on a few projects, but I was so excited when she asked me if I'd like to join in on her Easter craft tour. Annie is the kind of person that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside - her kindness comes through even in emails. I hope you enjoy the crafts that our friends have shared on their sites. Aside from these free printable Easter cards, there are many more fun ideas for you to try this Easter season, to see them all, scroll down to the bottom of the page!
Good Friday and Easter are some of my favorite holidays. Good Friday especially. I don't love the hustle and bustle of Easter church services, they seem over the top to me. Instead, I prefer to hide out in the back during the Good Friday evening service. It seems that I always can connect with God and acknowledge his sacrifice during that time.
I recently finished the book The Shack, and wow, it has completely changed my outlook on relationships in general. Especially the part about judging others. I caught myself feeling superior to a drug addict in line in front of me at the post office today. When I left, I was reminded of that particular part of the book. I am glad that my sin has already been forgiven, but I will remind myself to have compassion and resist judging others. If you haven't read the book, I couldn't recommend it more.
I really very rarely talk about religion here because I don't believe it's my platform to cover, but Easter is an exception for me. I think it is so important for those celebrating to remember 'the reason for the season'. Rather than getting caught up in creating the perfect Easter baskets and dying eggs, enjoy your time with your loved ones making fun projects and priceless memories. My Grandma never fails to send Easter cards to us, and it is something that I treasure. So this year, I've decided to create my own, using vintage graphics, which I have made available for you to download too.
