The winter months for those of us that spend time working outside mean lots of layers. I am a pro at layering up for the cold weather and have found some of my very favorite things to wear that look good while keeping me warm.

Beanies don’t stay on my head, but the Carhartt ear flap cap does. It is my very favorite thing to feed in because my ears stay warm and the bill protects my eyes. I am soooo bummed that they discontinued the velcro version, because it was key for windy days. Maybe they’ll bring it back, but until then, this is the next best thing.

I am in my Patagonia pull over 99% of the time in the colder weather. It is warm, and stylish so I can wear it to town after work. I love it! I also love a great puffer vest, JCrew & Ariat are my favorite (see below).

I’ve also linked some of my favorite boots below. When it’s cold out, Bogs are my go-to boot. Actually when it’s winter, you won’t see more than five people in town without Bogs on. They’re the best warm weather work boot around.

Whether you’re shopping for your favorite farm girl, or you’re putting together your Christmas list, I hope you find a few things that fit exactly what you need this year!

for work

We can’t be all practical over here can we? While the above items are necessary for work, these fun farmgirl gifts are just to put a smile on your face. The “I am 2 Goats Past Normal” mug was a gift from a friend last year, and it has been one of my favorite things all year! You can’t go wrong with something goat or chicken related ;).

for fun

If you are looking for something extra special for the home, these farmhouse goodies are just the thing. A lot of these items are from my shop! I adore the farm animal print, and the mini animal cupcake toppers, they are absolutely adorable!
