I recently visited Elsie Green in the bay area for Heather Bullard’s styling workshop. During the practice portion of the workshop I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to shoot, but then I remembered I was teaming up with Rooms for Rent, French Country Cottage, My Sweet Savannah, and Nina Hendrick Design to share our Thanksgiving table ideas!

So I started to have a little fun! I pulled a collection of ironstone plates, vintage flatware, a mixture of glassware, and beautiful dark linens…

I compiled all of the beautiful things I found around the EG shop and began to create a simple tabletop full of vintage items from France.

A simple centerpiece…

As a simple centerpiece I added pumpkins and foliage into an oblong ironstone serving platter. I layered in different branches with acorns & various colored leaves, then anchored them down with a few pumpkins and finished off the centerpiece with some votives!

I find that the most beautiful tables have layers that add texture and dimension. I used a large plate as the base layer, then sandwiched beautiful linen napkins between a salad plate. I love the vintage nature of ironstone, especially when each piece is ever so slightly different.

Instead of setting the flatware out, I decided to stack them on top of the plates nestled next to a miniature pumpkin. I love how simple and beautiful this is without adding too many extra details. The only thing I might add is a handwritten place setting because I feel that they make guests feel appreciated and loved!

I hope you gathered a few ideas from this tablescape to add to your Thanksgiving table this year! Will you be celebrating at home or will you be traveling to visit family? This year, I am hosting, and I am very excited!

Now, head to the next table…
