Unique DIY advent calendar ideas for this Christmas!
I remember growing up as a kid loving advent calendars. We always had the cardboard kind from the grocery store, they had low quality chocolate hidden behind little doors, and we always bought two, because my sister and I couldn’t possibly share!
I want to continue the tradition, but want to make something that can’t be found at the grocery store. So I’ve turned to some of my favorite blogs (and of course pinterest) to round up some lovely DIY advent calendar ideas to inspire all of us this Christmas!
I am loving the unexpected uses of everyday things – how cute is the walnut idea?! Have fun, and I hope you become inspired!

I used muslin baggies to create a vintage inspired DIY advent calendar. My vintage sifters were the perfect thing to me to attach little baggies to. Each bag is filled with candies, activities, or a bible verse. You can download the free daily labels and bag inserts, visit this DIY Advent Calendar idea!
Make & Do. Crew made a Pottery Barn knock-off DIY advent calendar with the little buckets attached to a black board. I couldn’t love this idea more! Isn’t it darling?
