Get inspired to decorate this season with fall decorating ideas from these sixteen beautiful kitchens!
Our mornings are becoming more crisp, the leaves are beginning to change, and the official beginning of fall is right around the corner. As the season changes, I find myself stowing away summer linens and pulling out all things cozy.
This weekend my dad and I built a chicken coop and I couldn’t help but take it all in – the apples on the ground, the cool air, and the golden light of the afternoon sun…it was simply perfect. I think it’s safe to say, I am ready for summer to end.
When I begin decorating for any season, I like to bring in as much inspiration as I can from nature. What colors do I see around me? What flowers are blooming? What textures can I bring inside?
This year it seems to be all about apples and greenery. We have what seems like millions of apples on our trees this year, and I have been getting creative with ways to use them up before they go bad (the goats are the biggest helpers in this task!).
Using them as decor has been an inexpensive way to add fall touches throughout the house. I think it’s important to remember that you don’t have to spend a bunch of money to shake things up each season – simply use what nature gives you!

Cindy – your comments truly always brighten my day, I love it when you stop by, thank you!!!! Truffles is the sweetest little goat, she gets a bit ganged up on by the big goats, so I am a sucker and let her hang with me more often than I should ;).
Okay, I gotta ask…how do you keep a goat from pooping and peeing inside your house???!
Hi, may I ask where did you get that beautiful wooden island? Thanks!
